What is a barn quilt? A barn quilt is a hand painted board with a design based on traditional quilt patterns or other interesting patterns. Each section on a barn quilt is taped off before being painted the get those crisp lines, a time-consuming process! In addition to decorating big barns, barn quilts make great art for your shed, fence, porch or inside your home. Barn quilts started in Ohio by a woman looking to honor her mother and has spread all over the USA. Many communities have barn quilt trails where you can follow a map and drive around to see the awesome barn quilts in a particular area.
All our custom orders are hand painted on MDO signboard, primed, painted and sealed with a spar urethane for long life. Prices vary and are based on size and complexity of pattern, but the following are average prices:
16" x 16" = $75
2' x 2' = $120
3' x 3' = $200
4' x 4" = $250
